Economic dispatch of a single micro gas turbine under CHP operation with uncertain demands

This work considers the economic dispatch problem for a single micro gas turbine, governed by discrete state–space model, under combined heat and power (CHP) operation coupled with utility. If exact demands are given, existing algorithms can be used to give quick optimal solution problem. However, in practice, cannot known deterministically, but rather predicted, resulting an estimate bound on estimation error. We consider case which unknown, present robust optimization-based approach scheduling turbine’s generation, demand is assumed inside uncertainty set. two different choices of set relying ℓ∞- ℓ1-norms, each advantages, associated problems. recast these as shortest-path problems appropriately defined graphs. For first choice, we provide linear-time algorithm problem, second, quadratic-time approximate algorithm. The efficiency usefulness demonstrated using detailed study that employs real data energy profiles electricity tariffs.
